  • Mask of pregnancy (Chloasma)

  • Linea nigra

  • Stretch marks

*Slow hair loss

*Increase in sweating

*Back pain

*Appetite:

– 1st trimester :

  • morning sickness (nausea with or without vomiting)

  • cravings

– 2nd and 3rd trimester: increased appetite

*Gum bleeding/ excessive salivation

*Heartburn (pyrosis)

*Hemorrhoids

*Constipation

*Nasal congestion

*Weight gain:

  • Amniotic fluid : 2 pounds

  • Placenta : 1.5 pounds

  • Uterus : 2 pounds

  • Breasts: 2 pounds

  • body fluids: 4 pounds

  • Blood: 4 pounds

  • Maternal stores of fat, proteins and other nutrients: 7 pounds

Total: 30 pounds
